Spring at Sheep Hill

Mount Greylock from Sheep Hill, Williamstown, MA. 11x14 inches, oil on canvas panel. Yesterday afternoon I painted at the top of Sheep Hill.  The mud conditions are gone, but Bee Hill Road is still rough. Trees are starting to leaf out.

Green Into Hoosic

Transitioning

Painting At The Edge

Part of the day I spent painting at the edge of Oblong Road near Sloan Road in Williamstown, MA. I want to thank the driver of the huge truck who three times passed by and slowed down each time to stop the dust cloud following his vehicle.  9x12 inches, oil on gessobord.

At the Stone Beach

This morning I painted at the stone beach on the Hoosic River near the Syndicate Road entrance to the new walking path in Williamstown, MA.  When the leaves come out, this place will look quite different. 12x12, oil on linen panel.

The Hoosic Where It Bends

Yesterday, on the new walking path in Williamstown, MA, I painted this view of the Hoosic River where it bends away.   There's still snow on the ground.  12x12 inches, oil on linen panel.

Still Full of Snow

Yesterday afternoon, I went walking in the woods at Hopkins Forest in Williamstown, MA. They're still full of snow.  And where there wasn't any snow, it was all mud.  But I'll take it.  It was quiet.  8x10 inches, gouache on mixed media paper.

Back To Spring
