A Boat Drawing

Rocky Neck Boat, Gloucester, MA. 8x10 inches, acrylic wash and pen and ink on bristol paper. I'm playing with my new pen, applying wash first and then using the pen.  This way the ink will not run, and the lines and wash edges don't matchup giving some vibrancy to the drawing.

Boat On Exhibition

My painting of the moored boat at the Marine Railways at Rocky Neck in Gloucester, I am delighted to say, was accepted into the exhibition Land & Light & Water & Air at the Bryan Memorial Art Gallery.  The exhibition will run from September 9th to November 7th.

Liberty Star

To take advantage of the plein air paintings I did at Rocky Neck in Gloucester, I'm doing some studio paintings based upon them.   This is the first, the Liberty Star in dry dock at the Marine Railways.  16x20 inches, oil on linen panel.
