A Shadow Building

Painting, for me, is often a remembrance of a past moment, as this one, when a building was only present in its cast shadow upon another building.  The corner depicted is Franklin and Bergen in Brooklyn.  9x12 inches, oil on panel.

Corot in Brooklyn

As I painted this scene, I thought of a Corot painting with a peasant walking on a path towards the village with a stream on one side, and maybe a wagon or two.  However, it's a view of Bergen Street approaching Vanderbilt Avenue in Brooklyn.  12x16 inches, oil on panel.  

"NOPE"

A view on Bergen Street approaching Classon Avenue in Brooklyn.  Somebody found the graffiti on the left not to their liking so they painted it out and wrote "NOPE" underneath.  Anti-graffiti graffiti.  I'd like to think that I give the word "NOPE" a larger meaning, but I'm not sure what that is.  12x16 oil on panel.
