This afternoon the sun reappeared so I continued my series at Greylock Works in North Adams, MA.  Both the painting and the drawing are 12x9 inches.  

Mill Work

The hazy sun lasted long enough earlier today for me to complete this drawing and painting at Greylock Works.  Both are 9x12 inches.  

Fringe On Top

 The chimney with a fringe on top at Greylock Works in North Adams, MA appeals to me.  But so does the combination of red brick and blue sky.  And sites of former glory, which are still beautiful, or beautiful because of what they have been and are now, like Roman ruins, or old New England mills.  But this old mill is slowly being transformed.  I don't know how long the fringe will be there.

Greylock Works

 By chance we visited Greylock Works last night for outdoor dining.  The meal was wonderful, but driving out, I saw something else wonderful.   I came back this afternoon to make a couple sketches, one in oil and the other in charcoal pencil, while the sun lasted.  9x12 inches.
