To Paint...One Paints

The sun is shining at this moment when I write these words, but it disappeared behind the clouds when I was out painting earlier. Nevertheless, if the determination is to paint, especially after a forty-five-minute ride, one paints with the circumstances.  This is a view of Berry Pond in the Pittsfield State Forest, a quiet place when I was there. 9x12 inches, oil on linen panel.

High Berry Pond

Berry Pond, at elevation 2,150 feet, located in Pittsfield State Forest, is the highest natural body of water in Massachusetts.  The water is smooth, while the road to get up there is rough.  9x12 inches, oil on linen panel.
