For this painting, in North Adams, MA, by the railroad tracks, I skipped the drawing and began painting immediately because the shadow was changing so fast. Next time I'll make a quick drawing and rely upon it also. The truck appeared near the end, but I'm glad I put it in. 9x12 inches, oil on panel.
