Cold Canal

The canal is beautiful but not if you are a duck. This is a large drawing, the first. 11x14. OK. Large for me.

Looks like there's just enough water for a few ducks. And, I bet that water is shallow so they can feed off the bottom. Nice drawing!

Steve, The ducks which are domestic and unable to fly away, huddle near one of the bridges, which keeps the canal open. People feed them. Thank you for your comment.

Nika, Thank you. I was aiming for the crispness. Your drawings are pretty crisp also.

Domestic ducks - that makes sense. The wild ones are so resourceful. I've been in the marsh and the river in some severe winter conditions. The weather is never a problem for the ducks.
