My comment got chopped. What I wanted to say is I like how well red works as a shade color on the rocks. But it wouldn't be able to pull it off without turquoise. Very inventive and it creates a new color reality, a color relationship that works but doesn't need to rely heavily on the local color. Hmmm, do I make myself clear?

Though they tend to be wicked colorful, Mainers are reticent about displaying actual color. Fortunately, great artists have always done it for them.
Sam, Thanks. I am originally from New Hampshire! Lots of colorful folk there too.
It does look like I imagined it in color, only amped up a bit. I like it!
