Still on the Old Farm




Both 9x12 pastel and charcoal drawings, the black barn at top and the Kline barn below.  It finally occurred to me that it made more sense to apply the color pastel first.  So many composition options with these flying, falling barns.

Hi Bob! Once again it has been wonderful to catch up with you and your work. I can really feel your respect for these barns in your sensitive paintings. The Kline barn reminds me of a gigantic beached whale with its ribs showing. Thank you for those Wiman quotes - I need to read them all again and let them soak in. Keep tapping and scratching!
