Early Morning Brook

I remember passing by the brooks last year and wondering if I could ever paint them. My neighbor told me this morning that they are known as branches of Steele Run. I like that name.

Having just found your blog recently by accident Robert I find myself logging on each morning with anticipation of a new work. The charcoals are wonderful and the pastels are some of the best I've seen! The incites into where they are and why you made the work are fascinating, fantastic work Robert!

Interesting how the near foreground and the crossed fallen tree (upper left) herds the eye back into the painting. And the lifeblood red river.

Peter, You sure are encouraging. Thank you.

Sam, Soon enough the brook will be dry. Need to work it now.
