Corn Field with Snow and Wings

It's not spring yet, but I have declared that winter is essentially over, with some remnants left. Even if it snows again. Doesn't matter. My last three pictures are in the transition zone.

I came across an interesting comment the other day by Thomas Aldrich, a not well known writer, at least by me, born in Portsmouth, N.H. He wrote in Leaves from a Notebook: "I like to have a thing suggested rather than told in full. When every detail is given the mind rests satisfied, and the imagination loses the desire to use its own wings."

Gorgeous Bob,

Really bold colors and confident strokes.
My new favorite.

You do the best cornfields, Bob! They sure don't look as nice without their frosting of snow but I'm with you: enough winter! Great quote too.

I like the Aldrich quote. I like your corn field. It leaves my imagination to plant the field, while that bit of blue leads me down the hill and off to the distant blue mountains. Quite nice!

Doug, Thank you. I hope I can keep up the string.

Donna, I am good at corny jokes. Thank you.

Sam, Thanks. These corn fields get so muddy that one would sink a foot literally if you dared to step in.

As a New Englander, I agree that winter is "over!" Love that quote, too. strong composition with cornfields -- like it.
