Kelly, Thanks for your comment. I found it quite insightful. I have been looking at Van Gogh's fields for a long time, but I think I will look again. I have more garden pastels coming, but I am not in a situation where I can photograph them right now.
Somewhere the critic Northrop Frye wrote that all art is based upon trying to find the way back to the Garden of Eden.
