I am rather focused on the canal these days. I am using this opportunity to determine different ways to paint green, without necessarily painting green. The top drawing is 8x10 pastel, middle 8x10 graphite, and bottom 9x12 pastel.
Donna, I saw some tourists the other day park their car, get out, and start taking pictures of the canal. Hmm... Am I not seeing something in front of my nose? Happens all the time. Yes, I am doing the canal like I won't see it for a long time, so I am trying to see it now.

That canal sure gives you a lot to work with: abstract shapes, reflections and a different view each time depending on the weather and time of day!
