Canson Tree

The Canson paper buckles too much with the alcohol wash, so I am going to not use it for these small 5x7 pastels.  I will rub and scrape the pastel with paper, finger, and brush instead.  This is a view looking to the left of Pine Cobble from Stratton Road in Williamstown, MA.

These past two tree paintings are very unique. They are great!

Casey, Thank you. I appreciate your comment, since I know you have thought a lot about painting trees.

Bob, You really are doing some col things with your neighborhood glimpses. I especially like your oddly cropped ones like this. They remind me of what Degas might do if he painted houses.

Loriann, Thanks. I have several more in the queue. Just when I was wondering if I'm headed over the edge, you write something very encouraging.
