A Memory Painting of the Old House
Here's a painting I've been working on for the last few days: a memory painting of the home of my grandparents. I dedicate it to my sister Anne. She also loved this old house, as did all of our large family who visited it many times or lived there as children and young adults. 18x24 inches, oil on linen canvas.

Still in February
Twelve days ago, I posted this same view of the path at the edge of the pond at Field Farm in Williamstown, MA. Then it was covered in snow and the pond was frozen over. This is what it looks like today and were still in February. 8x10 inches, gouache on mixed media paper.

Memory Drawing
My first pass at making a memory drawing of my grandparent's house. That's 'memory', as in going back to the past to recover what is lost. 12x16 inches, pencil on paper.

On a frigid day, here's the view of Mount Greylock and the Hopper from Oblong Road near Sloan Road in Williamstown, MA. The snow field has its undulations just like the distant mountains. 12x24 inches, oil on linen panel.
